"Attached are photos and comments from my father, a Lieutenant with the 548th AAA, which stumbled on the atrocity at Gardelegen, Germany.

According to his account, many non-Jewish Poles were killed in this incident. I'm trying to find out more about this incident, and understand that this may be a case of where the German civilian population even pitched in to help round up the prisoners, who were slave laborers on a death march, and herded them in a huge barn to be burned alive."
